General Dentistry Services In Richmond, MI
At Richmond Dental Care, you can expect a comfortable and seamless checkup experience.
Our experienced dental hygienist will clean and polish your teeth. Next, our dentist will conduct a thorough examination of your teeth and gums. If oral health issues are discovered, we will develop a plan of attack.
We recommend making a dentist appointment every six months. Regular dental visits help prevent common dental issues, like tooth decay and periodontal disease. Good oral health can also prevent dental procedures, like cavity fillings, root canals and tooth extractions.
In addition to general dentistry, our restorative dentists can help you achieve the smile you deserve. We use the best dental technology and finest materials to ensure your satisfaction. Call 586-727-5898 to speak with our restorative specialists.
Have anxiety over your upcoming root canal procedure? Modern root canals are, in fact, very similar to routine fillings. They’re relatively painless and can usually be completed in two appointments. At Richmond Dental Care, we’ll work to ensure your procedure is as comfortable as possible.
During root canal treatment, the inflamed or infected pulp is removed and the inside of the tooth is carefully cleaned and disinfected, then filled and sealed with a rubber-like material called gutta-percha. Afterwards, the tooth is restored with a crown or filling for protection. After restoration, the tooth continues to function like any other tooth.
Saving the natural tooth with root canal treatment has many advantages, including efficient chewing, normal biting force and sensation and a more natural-looking appearance.
